Commercial Litigation Lawyer
Lauren primarily works alongside and assists Micah Jenkins (Legal Director) in relation to commercial and litigation matters.
Lauren has a great admiration for businesspersons given the daily challenges they face. With this in mind, Lauren is excited to be working predominantly for (and with) commercial clients at our firm.
Having commenced her studies at the University of Newcastle in 2015, Lauren’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Laws, and a Diploma of Legal Practice.
Lauren was recently admitted as a solicitor in March of 2020. Prior to this milestone, Lauren worked locally as a litigation paralegal for almost two years. Lauren first developed an appetite for litigious work during a three-month clerkship at a global firm, following her penultimate year of studies.
Lauren brings to the firm experience in the following practice areas: general civil and commercial litigation (with a particular focus on building and construction disputes), professional negligence (including medical and legal), public liability, and estate litigation (including contested statutory will applications, contested probate / letters of administration proceedings, and family provision claims).
Whenever the opportunity arises, Lauren enjoys returning to the island state of Tasmania she formerly called home.
Lauren is currently considering broadening her education by undertaking a Master of Business Administration.
Lauren prides herself of being both a professional but relatable person. Most of all, Lauren is passionate about learning. She feels a great sense of achievement in assisting clients with navigating through the intricacies and ‘grey areas’ of the law.
