Jackson graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2012 with a Bachelor of Laws/Diploma of Legal Practice and has been admitted to practice as a solicitor since February 2013.
Prior to becoming a solicitor, Jackson studied photography at the University of Technology Sydney and studied Business at the University of Newcastle (with a double major in marketing and management). Jackson’s artistic background as a freelance photographer has influenced his interest in protecting the creative works and ideas of clients through intellectual property.
Before joining Jenkins Legal, Jackson was a senior associate at Sparke Helmore Lawyers. Prior to this, Jackson worked for commercial and building and construction law firms in Newcastle and Sydney, gaining a wide range of experience in commercial law, building and construction law, dispute resolution and intellectual property. Jackson’s strong technical ability is coupled with a commercial and practical approach to his clients' matters. He is an attentive and motivated solicitor working mostly advising and assisting clients in commercial matters. Outside of work, Jackson enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies and going to the beach.
