About Jo

Jo has worked for a variety of law firms both in the UK and Australia for over 20 years prior to commencing at Jenkins Legal Services in 2019.

​

Jo has been involved in many areas of law. She has specialised over the past 7 years in Estate Planning and Probate and the Administration of Estates. She is also studying an Associate Degree in Law (paralegal studies) with Southern Cross University.

​

She began her career in a junior administration role progressing to typist, junior secretary, legal secretary and PA and is highly competent in all areas of legal administration including document management, safe custody, typing of legal documents and letters, preparing Briefs and Court documents and applications to the Supreme Court of New South Wales for a Grant of Probate/Letters of Administration.

​

She has many years experience in dealing directly with clients. Her experience in Estate Planning means that she is able to assist clients through what can sometimes be a very emotional and stressful time with professionalism and empathy.

Jo has recently relocated from Coffs Harbour, NSW with her family to Newcastle and is looking forward to continuing to develop her legal skills at Jenkins Legal Services.

Away from work, Jo likes to spend time with her husband and daughters and is enjoying exploring Newcastle and the surrounding areas to develop her knowledge of the local community.
