Jenkins expands team to meet client demand

Boutique legal firm Jenkins Legal Services (JSL) has expanded its team to meet growing client demand. After opening the firm in November last year, Legal Director Micah Jenkins has announced the appointments of Joanne Blanch as Executive Assistant and Paralegal and Louise Jenkins as Manager.

Joanne worked in the legal industry in the Hunter and on the for more than six years before joining Jenkins Legal Services. As Executive Assistant she brings to the Jenkins team expertise in all areas of office administration and accounting while her experience in substantive paralegal work sees her support all areas of the firm’s client matters. She is currently studying at Southern Cross University completing an Associate Degree in Law, majoring in Conveyancing and is working toward becoming a licensed conveyancer. Her legal experience with firms that include McDonald Johnson Lawyers, Emery Partners and Moray & Agnew is strengthened by her volunteer work offering expertise in finance and accounting with Newcastle Improvised Music Association and Newcastle Youth Orchestra.

A graduate of the University of Sydney, Louise Williams brings more than 12 years experience in the health and community sector into the role of Jenkins Legal Services’ Manager. Louise is a qualified and highly experienced Pharmacist who managed a community pharmacy where patient/client focus was paramount. She also spent three years working in the UK where she was often pharmacist-in-charge of the dispensary as well as working across large multidisciplinary teams. No stranger to the legal sector having been surrounded by lawyers her entire life (father and husband both lawyers), at JLS Louise uses her organisation, communication and management skills to support the firm’s objective to provide superior client focused services and practices.

Legal Director, Micah Jenkins, said that since opening the doors late last year client work had grown beyond expectations requiring additional resources and skills in the team.

“Joanne and Louise will provide additional administration and management support to the legal team who provide services in all areas of law with a focus on business and commercial law, property and estate law,” Mr Jenkins said.
