Sam Slack-Smith: Law Society Accredited Specialist in Property Law

An Accredited Specialist is a practising solicitor who has demonstrated specialised competence in a particular area of law and has been conferred Specialist Accreditation by the Law Society under its Specialist Accreditation Scheme. The Scheme helps the general public identify solicitors who have demonstrated superior proficiency in a particular area of law.

The accreditation is a challenging structured peer to peer assessment process. To be accredited, specialists must pass a series of meticulous assessments on both legal knowledge and its application in practice. To retain their accreditation specialists must undertake significant additional professional development in their area of expertise each year.

Legal Director, Micah Jenkins, is an Accredited Specialist in Business Law and sees Sam’s achievement as the perfect complement to this.

‘Naturally, a Property Law Accredited Specialist provides a high quality services for our property investment, construction and development clients. Having both Business and Property Law Accredited Specialists also gives Jenkins Legal Services the edge in the commercial law arena where the two areas of law so often overlap’, Micah explains.

‘In that regard, we are a one-stop shop for everything business, from business structuring and acquisitions, to commercial leasing, contracting and IP protection and commercialisation, employment law, commercial litigation, succession planning and insolvency. Added to this, we also support our clients by having highly trained and experienced lawyers in estate planning, probate and contested estates.’
