Tahlia, born and raised in Lake Macquarie, made the exciting move to Sydney in 2014 having completed her Communication Degree at the University of Newcastle. She attended the University of New South Wales to complete the Juris Doctor program and was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018.
During her studies, Tahlia worked as a paralegal in the correctional services industry which gave her a unique introduction to commercial law. After four years in Sydney, Tahlia returned home to the Hunter as an inhouse graduate lawyer gaining experience in the coal mining, infrastructure, and renewables industries.
By working in different sectors, Tahlia has gained strong commercial contracting skills, including hire agreements, service agreements, manufacturing agreements, and supply agreements. Tahlia has also gained experience in the commercialisation of intellectual property.

Outside of work Tahlia enjoys camping, fishing, reading, and playing with her two German Shepherds, Kuma and Jake.
