About Emily
Emily is an Employment & Commercial Lawyer at Jenkins Legal & Advisory who provides advice to employers across a broad range of workplace and business law matters, with particular experience assisting clients drafting and review of employment contracts, development and implementation of workplace policies and procedures, performance management and disciplinary processes, terminations of employment, and disputes under the Fair Work Act, including unfair dismissal and general protections claims.
In addition to her employment practice, Emily draws on her background in commercial, property, and litigation law to provide integrated advice where employment issues intersect with broader commercial considerations, to advise on commercial agreements, contract advice, and risk management issues, often working collaboratively with the firm’s commercial team to deliver depth and continuity of service.
She brings a strategic, solutions-focused approach to every matter, combining clear legal advice with a strong understanding of practical and commercial realities. Emily is known for being approachable and thorough, and she takes pride in guiding clients through all stages of their legal journey with clarity and confidence.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Laws from James Cook University in Townsville and was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Outside the office, Emily can often be found on the basketball court refereeing, or spending time with her partner, Maddie and miniature chocolate dachshund, Murphy.
